The history of coffee runs deep with St. Louis. In the late 1800’s this city was the largest coffee capital of the world. By 1920 there were over 86 coffee roasters locally. The green beans were brought by steamboat from New Orleans, roasted here and then carried westward by Conestoga wagons, stagecoach, train and steamboats. St. Louis kept the western half of the country moving with coffee!
We are proud of our traditional coffees and world renown flavored coffees based on Middle Eastern tradition (did you know the Turks were adding chocolate to coffee 600 years ago!?). St. Louis was one of the first to treat America to the unique flavored brews due to a sugar shortage in the 1800’s. In the spirit of pioneer resourcefulness sorghum, molasses and maple syrup were used, thus the introduction of flavors.
We provide the highest quality coffees. We only use the best obtainable green beans from all over the world for our roasting process. Our roasting and espresso experience goes back 18 years to training in Seattle by Master European Roasters. Each roast is tested for taste, quality, consistency, and smoothness. We are the best or your money back!
As we grow and serve others we are grateful to have the privilege to serve our military friends and families. A part of our proceeds are given to them and their families that face the daily battle of keeping us safe. Not only do we give from our pockets but we give from our hearts and pray for all our friends scattered around the world away from home. May God keep you all safe.
